Cell phone videos
Dear Lazyweb,
My cell phone takes videos in a completely useless format. Unfortunately, I only know how to refer to it by file extension: .3g2
. GStreamer doesn't support it. MPlayer can play the video, but fails to properly decode the audio.
I've been searching for so long that my eyes literally hurt (read: proprietary, likely-patented formats are causing me physical pain). Does anyone know what codecs I'm missing in Ubuntu Feisty for GStreamer? Or for MPlayer? I'm frankly out of ideas.
Love,
Kurt

Well, I see .3g2 codecs for Windows...
I might be able to find a program to convert it to another type, you know how much those hackers like proprietary data... Just let me know what file type you want in the end and I will see what I can do. You may have to mail the videos to me, as the conversion tool will probably be for Windows only.
Aye. All the .3g2 converters are Windows-only.
That? Is the bad-nets.
Please let me know if you find anything truly good; I've been so far removed from Windows freeware for so long that I can no longer gauge whether a program is good based solely on the webpage. "Is it badware? Look at all the Flash ads! Who knows?!"
What are Flash ads?
They're those things that aren't blocked by the university library computers by default because they don't have Firefox' Adblock Plus extension installed.
Since you've voiced your stance against "el libro de cara", I wanted to provide proof that I visited your site. Great meeting you and you'll probably see those photos sometime in upcoming workweek. Have a good weekend.
Most excellent. I'm looking forward to seeing the photos!

Hey, just thought you might like to know that I ate at Chipotle's for the first time today. And it was good. ^.^
#1: Right on.
#2: Which state were you in at the time?
#3: It's "Chipotle". It's not possessive. Don't screw up again. *grin*
It was in Loveland, CO. And yeah, I know that; not sure why I tacked on the 's there, as I've been using it correctly everywhere else...
